We Are Open – Safety is Our Top Priority!
We’ve reopened in accordance with CDC, O.S.H.A., and State Dental Board guidelines to responsibly resume seeing our patients for regular dental appointments and treatment. We want to assure you of the measures we take to maintain a clean and safe environment so you can continue to receive needed dental care without fear or concern.
Want a whiter, brighter smile before your next dinner date, business meeting, or social event? Teeth whitening—one of the fastest, most convenient, and most affordable cosmetic dentistry procedures—can remove years of tooth stains and discoloration in less than an hour. Imagine having your teeth whitened over your lunch break!
Our team at Naples Center for Cosmetic Dentistry provides two methods to help you achieve the radiant smile you want in a way that fits your schedule, your budget, and your lifestyle. Some patients like to relax in our office and walk out with a brighter smile that same day while others prefer a take-home product that can whiten teeth for minutes a day in less than two weeks.
Both methods produce impressive results, especially when applied after a teeth cleaning. That removes any food particles or bacteria that can contribute to stains on your teeth or interfere with the whitening treatment.

Smile Perfected™: Professional In-Office Teeth Whitening
Our office in Naples is proud to offer Smile Perfected™, a professional teeth whitening procedure that takes about 20 minutes. It’s so quick yet effective, your hygienist can easily add this service after your regular cleaning is finished.
The patented Smile Perfected system combines a tooth whitening gel with an LED light to accelerate the whitening process. Although the professional-strength whitening gel is safe and has a pleasant taste, the faster time frame means less chance of irritation, especially if you have sensitive teeth. The treatment also involves individual ampoules of vitamin E to moisturize and protect your lips and skin, further guarding against sensitivity.
What’s more, the special whitening trays are designed to allow your jaw muscles to remain relaxed and tension-free during the treatment, so you’ll feel comfortable throughout the process.
Opalescence Go®: Impressive Teeth Whitening at Home
If you prefer to whiten your teeth in private and on your own schedule, our office in Naples also provides Opalescence Go. Available only from dentists, this professional-strength teeth whitening product can give you significant results at home in five to ten days.
Each kit includes innovative trays prefilled with a whitening gel that includes potassium nitrate and fluoride, two ingredients shown to help increase the hardness of tooth enamel, reduce cavities, minimize tooth sensitivity, and improve your teeth’s overall health.
Opalescence Go is safe, effective, and so simple to use, it’s ready right out of the box. Just center one of the trays over your upper or lower teeth and bite gently. Suck down or swallow to secure the gel against your teeth, then remove the colored outer tray, leaving the clear and comfortable inner tray for your treatment.
Opalescence Go comes in two combinations of whitening ingredients. Choose a 15% concentration worn for 15 to 20 minutes a day over five to ten days, or a 10% concentration worn for about 30 to 60 minutes over the same duration.
Once your daily treatment is done, cleanup is easy. Just remove the disposable tray and brush your teeth as you normally would.
Why Whiten Your Teeth?
Even if you’re diligent about your dental care, you’ll notice your teeth becoming darker, grey, or even yellow over time. Two factors combine to create the color of our teeth: the light reflected off the enamel (the hard outer layer of the tooth) and the color of the dentin (the middle layer) underneath the enamel. As we age, our enamel thins and the dentin darkens, affecting our tooth color.
But that’s not the only cause of discoloration. Our genetic makeup determines the smoothness and thickness of tooth enamel. Some of us are born with thinner enamel—and more visible dentin—than others. Also, enamel is porous, so some foods and beverages can impact our tooth color as well.
There are several causes of dull, dingy, or discolored teeth. They include:
- Beverages such as coffee, tea, red wines, and colas
- Cigarettes and other tobacco products
- Poor brushing or flossing
- Certain medical treatments and medications
- Tooth decay or trauma
Whiten Teeth Before Getting a Crown, Bridge or Denture
Getting dental work such as a crown, a bridge, a veneer or dentures also is a good reason to whiten your natural teeth first. The dental porcelain used in such cosmetic and restorative treatments is color-matched to your natural teeth to blend in seamlessly. Because they’re designed to be stain resistant, crowns, bridges, and other such dental fixtures don’t respond to whitening treatments. So whitening your natural teeth after these procedures tends to make the artificial teeth more obvious.
