If you’re a traditional denture wearer who is fed up with having your dentures slip while talking, singing, or enjoying a meal, Palm Dental Center has the solution. We offer a revolutionary alternative called the All-on-4® Treatment Concept, which uses four dental implants to hold the denture in place. It’s quickly become the popular choice for people who have lost their teeth due to gum disease or tooth decay.
Often referred to as a permanent denture, a denture supported by All-on-4 implants remains fixed to the gums, offering the look and feel of natural teeth. Additionally, a denture or bridge attached to All-on-4 implants requires no messy adhesives or nightly cleaning rituals. You simply brush and floss the denture just as you would natural teeth. Best of all, the All-on-4 dental implant treatment allows you to socialize without fear of your dentures slipping or falling out at unexpected moments.
Our dentist at Palm Dental Center completed the All-on-4 Treatment Concept training and has been offering our patients no-slip dentures ever since. Please call our office today at (305) 921-0481 to find out how the All-on-4 Treatment Concept can help you.
Nobel Biocare, a world leader in dental innovation, developed the patented All-on-4 dental implant treatment in 1998. Since then, hundreds of thousands of people have opted for All-on-4 dental implant therapy because it is less invasive than other procedures and prevents the annoyance of slipping dentures.
While dental implants have been used for decades to replace lost natural teeth with prosthetic teeth, the procedure often requires repeated visits to the dental office for bone grafts to build up the jawbone so it can support the implants. Most people don’t require bone grafts for the All-on-4 treatment. Patients, therefore, heal more quickly and are able to enjoy the comfort and natural appearance of their permanent dentures supported by All-on-4 dental implants sooner. With just one visit, patients can leave the dental office with a temporary denture or, in some cases, a permanent denture. That’s why the procedure is frequently referred to as “teeth-in-a-day.”
With less-invasive surgery and fewer implants, the All-on-4 Treatment Concept is typically less expensive than traditional implant surgery.
All-on-4 dental implant therapy uses four dental implants to permanently attach a complete denture or bridge to the upper or lower jaw.
After the patient is comfortably sedated, the dentist or specialist places two tiny screw-like posts directly into the jawbone in the front of the mouth and two more titanium posts tilted at a 45-degree angle in the back of the mouth. The 45-degree angle allows the dentist to insert the implants deeper into the jawbone than is possible with traditional implants. As a result, the bone grafts common with traditional dental implant surgery are no longer necessary.
Since the implants are made of titanium, a metal that is compatible with human bone, the jawbone will begin to fuse around the implants in a few months. As a result, the implants are firmly and permanently locked into place. After the All-on-4 dental implants have fused with the jawbone, the patient returns to Palm Dental Center to have the temporary bridge or denture replaced with a permanent one custom-made to match the shape and shade of the patient’s natural teeth.
In addition to providing permanent for a complete row of teeth, All-on-4 dental implants will prevent further deterioration of the jawbone that naturally occurs when it no longer has roots supporting it. This deterioration can give denture wearers a gaunt appearance. With All-on-4 dental implants, the jawline maintains its proper proportions, giving the patient a more youthful appearance and a natural-looking smile that will last a lifetime. Your friends won’t be able to tell the difference between your dentures supported by All-on-4 dental implants and the real thing.
